Kylon charges by credits, not seats, so cost scales with how much your agents do. Their hosted agents draw on credits; a bring-your-own agent does not.
What BOS costs
$0. You pay your AI provider (a Claude or ChatGPT subscription you may already have) and nothing to BOS. No credits, no per-seat fee, no usage markup.
What BOS gives you
- Free to download. Your bots run on the Claude, ChatGPT / Codex, Grok, Gemini, Cursor or OpenCode plan you already pay for, so there is no credit meter from BOS.
- Bots run on your own computer, with your files and signed-in apps.
- Rooms hold your team, your clients and everyone's bots. Anything outbound waits for your ok.
- Set up with you: new users land in a group chat with the BOS team, who help set up your team.
- iPhone remote to approve from your phone. Windows is a preview.
Which is cheaper?
If you already pay for Claude or ChatGPT, BOS adds nothing on top. Kylon adds $100-$800 per month for the hosted workspace, integrations and hosted agents. Whether that is worth it depends on whether you need those integrations and a fully hosted setup.
